The cross-section for Népoui is indicated at the Muéo pass.
Situated on the Muéo peninsula, Népoui is the former SLN centre. A true industrial township, Népoui has more than 1 200 inhabitants.

It also has the SLN port ( for shipment of mineralore).

A motorcross circuit is situated on the road before arriving in Népoui.
Three competitions take place there every year, organized by the Poya-Népoui motoclub.

Also, the only horseriding police force (“gendarmerie”) squad of the territory and a magnificient modern primary school.

Népoui village is a part of the Poya commune and it owes its existence to the proximity of the Népoui-Kopéto SLN mine at a altitude of 1 000 m.

The small islands of Djé (or long), Grimault, Didot (or round) and the Bécot island peninsula are opposite the bay of Népoui
